How Does Skin Tightening & Rejuvenation Work?

Intense pulsed light (IPL) and radiofrequency (RF) are noninvasive treatments designed to encourage the production of new collagen, a vital protein for cell repair. Collagen provides firmness to your skin, helps control inflammation, and maintains volume.

As we age, our cells begin producing less collagen—starting as early as our mid-20s. This can lead to skin laxity and wrinkles. By promoting the new collagen production, IPL and RF can help restore your skin’s vitality and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

IPL Photofacial

Intense pulsed light (IPL), also known as a photofacial, works by using gentle pulses of light. Your skin absorbs the light, which then turns into heat, encouraging your body to make new collagen.

What to Expect During Your IPL or RF Treatment

First, we apply a gel to your skin. Then, the treatment device delivers light pulses (IPL) or energy waves (RF). Throughout the treatment, you may feel a warm or tingling sensation. Some people say the experience feels like a hot stone massage. 96% of patients describe TempSure RF as comfortable.

After your IPL or RF treatment, there’s typically no downtime. You can immediately resume most of your normal activities, including applying makeup.
